Media Center
Mission
The mission of the library media center at Clarkesville Elementary School is to provide a warm, child-friendly welcoming environment to develop and instill a love of literature and reading for information as well as pleasure, to build a foundation for lifelong learning through information literacy and provide support materials to enhance and reinforce the curriculum.
Hours
Clarkesville Elementary Media Center is open 7:30-3:30 during regular school days.
Visits
The media center operates a flexible schedule that allows access for both teachers and students to visit the media center. Students are allowed to visit the media center daily. Classrooms visit the media center each month for whole group media instruction and research.
Students in grade Kindergarten are allowed to check out one book at a time. Students in grades First through Fifth may check out two books at a time. Students may keep books for up to two weeks.
