LaDonna Canup

I am LaDonna Canup, the art teacher here at CKES. I live in Turnerville with my husband, Luke. We have a son, Towns, and a daughter, Etrulia, who both attend school at CKES. You are most likely to find me spending time outdoors, traveling, or reading a good book.

I love to learn. I hold a Bachelor of Art from Georgia State University, my Master of Education from North Georgia College and State University and my Ph.D in Art from the University of Georgia. Go Bulldogs!!!

I am passionate about providing each child with a creative arts education that ignites their natural desire to explore and discover. Students will learn 21st-century skills like problem-solving, innovative design, collaboration, and communication.

This year marks my 22nd year of teaching art.

It is so rewarding to get to foster creativity and innovative thinking in children and, in return, be inspired by them.

I am looking forward to the 2025-2026 school year and teaching students about the world through the art we view and make.
