Melissa Carroll
My name is Melissa Carroll. This is my 20th year teaching at Clarkesville Elementary! I taught my first 15 years in the classroom. Twelve years in 1st grade, one year in 2nd grade, and two years in 5th grade. I was able to move into my dream job as the P.E. teacher 5 years ago.
I am a Habersham County native. I grew up here playing multiple sports. I was fortunate to be a Lady Raider for softball, basketball, swim team, and soccer. I finished my athletic career playing soccer at Truett-McConnell College. I have coached basketball, softball, and soccer at several levels for the past 17 years.
I graduated from Piedmont College with a BA in Early Childhood Education. I have a Master's degree from UNG in Leadership with an emphasis on Physical & Health Education. I have also obtained a Specialist's degree from Piedmont College in Curriculum & Instruction.
I am married to my husband Mickey. We have 4 children attending 4 different schools. Breelyn-UGA, Maddox Kathryn-HCHS, Nolan-NGA, and Weston-CKES.
