Megan Teague

Hello! 

 

My name is Megan Teague. I am the Preschool Special Education Coordinator for Habersham County Schools. Our preschool special education program is called PREP. The 2026-27 school year will be my 17th year in the school system.

 

I grew up in the Habersham County School System. I went to Fairview Elementary, North Habersham Middle School, and Habersham Central High. After high school, I spent my freshman year at Reinhardt College. I transferred to North Georgia College & State University after that, and graduated in 2010 with a dual degree in special and regular education. I was lucky enough to get a job right away with Habersham County Schools. I also earned my master's degree in special education from Georgia Southern University in 2014.  

 

For my first 4 years, I taught in a PREP classroom. In my 5th year, I was asked to teach EBD, but for years 6 through 10, I was back in the PREP classroom. For the past 7 years, I have been our PREP Coordinator. I enjoy walking our parents through the first stages of services and then seeing our students grow as they go through our program.
